Yes. Giovani^® Laundry perfume works as a replacement for fabric softener, not as a Washing agent.

To make sure your laundry is properly clean, you still need to use a Washing agent, such as:

• Laundry gels
• washing powder
• capsules
• Laundry strips

Laundry perfume provides an intense and long-lasting scent for your laundry, while the Washing agent removes dirt and washes your clothes.

No. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes do not clog the washing machine or dryer. Quite the opposite, they are much more effective and safer for your washing machine than ordinary sticky and thick fabric softeners.

Regarding the issue of domestic wastewater treatment systems, we cannot provide a binding statement. This is a topic that has not yet been examined by any study carried out by us or, as far as we know, by any other source, or we have not been able to find such a study. The products contain substances similar to those found in fabric softeners. However, when the recommended dosage is followed, we ASSUME that everything should be fine. Unfortunately, we currently have no way to confirm this assumption. To repeat, no study has yet been carried out on this topic. For diplomatic reasons, we therefore cannot either recommend or advise against using the product with a domestic wastewater treatment system.

Yes. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are suitable for normal everyday use.

When using them, we recommend following the recommended dosage and the textile manufacturer’s instructions.

One standard dose is just 5 ml, except for Francis Signature, for every 4 kg of laundry. The concentrate should not be diluted with anything else.

Our samples contain 7 ml because, when applying the oil from the sample sachet, traces of oil may remain on the inside of the sachet, and we want every customer to enjoy the full experience. Pour the entire contents of the sachet into the fabric softener compartment.

Do not pour Laundry perfumes into the washing machine drum or into the dryer. They are specifically designed to be used in the fabric softener compartment. You do not need to worry that your laundry will lose its scent after tumble drying. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are resistant to external influences and are long-lasting. Your washed laundry will still smell beautiful after using the dryer. The optimal storage temperature for Washing oils is approximately 15–25 °C.

Pour the Laundry perfume into the compartment or drawer intended for fabric softener. It does not belong in the washing powder compartment or directly in the drum.

One standard dose is just 5 ml, except for Francis Signature, for every 4 kg of laundry. For samples, we recommend using one whole sample for one wash, even though it contains 7 ml, because when applying the oil from the sample sachet, traces of oil may remain on the inside of the sachet, and we want every customer to enjoy the full experience.

Of course. If you want the fragrance to be lighter, simply reduce the recommended dose of Laundry perfume for one wash to achieve a lower scent intensity. Some of our customers find the fragrances so intense that they reduce the recommended dose by half, or even down to one third.

One sample is primarily intended for one wash, for 4 kg of laundry, meaning one use.

The recommended dosage is 5 ml per 4 kg of laundry, except for Francis Signature. Although the sample contains 7 ml, this is intentional, as a certain amount of liquid may remain on the inside of the packaging, and we want every customer to enjoy the full experience. However, some of our customers divide one sample into 2 uses because they prefer a lighter fragrance intensity.

At the recommended dosage of 5 ml per 4 kg of laundry, a 100 ml bottle will last for 20 washes, 250 ml for 50 washes and 500 ml for 100 washes.

You can use the cap from the Giovani^® Laundry perfume bottle for dosing, as it holds 3 ml. We recommend applying 2 caps. For more convenient dosing, you can purchase a measuring cup with our logo or a dosing pump. Just a small amount is enough for beautifully scented laundry!

If you have samples at home, 1 sample is intended for one use.

No. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes should only be applied to the fabric softener compartment. If applied directly into the drum, the product may disperse unevenly or cause stains on laundry.

Because Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are highly concentrated, only a minimal amount is needed: 5 ml per 4 kg of laundry. The automatic dosing setting on the washing machine needs to be set to 5 ml per 4 kg of laundry. For the correct setting, follow the instructions in your washing machine manual or contact the manufacturer of your specific washing machine model directly. If it is not possible to set this ratio on your washing machine model in order to follow the recommended dosage, pour the recommended amount of Laundry perfume, 5 ml, into the compartment and also add enough water so that the total volume corresponds to the standard automatic dosing volume of your washing machine. The 5 ml dosage must be repeated before every wash! If you have not used any Laundry perfumes before, we recommend fully cleaning the entire container before the first use so that it remains clean and dry.

We recommend it. If you previously used fabric softener or other products, it is advisable to clean and dry the fabric softener compartment before using Laundry perfume for the first time, so that the fragrance is not affected by residues from old products.

Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are effective at all washing temperatures, but for the best fragrance we recommend 30–60 °C.

Wipe up any spilled concentrate immediately with a damp cloth. Use the product only in the designated washing machine compartment.

Yes, Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are also suitable for eco programmes because they are effective even at low temperatures, around 30 °C.

Laundry perfumes contain oil essences, but under normal circumstances they should not remain in large amounts in the fabric softener compartment. Because the perfumes are based on oil essences, you may see these oil-based components in the fabric softener compartment. Fabric softener itself also commonly remains in the drawer, but it is not as easy to notice as Laundry perfume. Of course, it also depends on the type of washing machine and how regularly it is cleaned. The dispenser therefore needs to be cleaned regularly and often, whether you use Laundry perfumes or traditional fabric softeners. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are designed so that their fragrance remains noticeable even after laundry has been dried. Our brand has the highest concentration of fragrance ingredients on the market when it comes to Laundry perfumes. This is an undeniable, measured fact expressed numerically. Our fragrances are the most intense and also the longest-lasting on the market. This is clearly confirmed by tens of thousands of customer reviews and customer awards based on people’s votes or the quality of reviews. Practically all customers unanimously say that they can smell the fragrance even several weeks after using the dryer.

The phrase “suitable for the dryer” is used today by some companies as misleading advertising in an attempt to attract more customers. It always needs to be clarified further. Laundry washed with Laundry perfume can of course then be dried in the dryer. A high-quality Laundry perfume will not lose its scent. However, Laundry perfume must of course not be poured directly into the dryer; this applies to all Laundry perfumes on the market. ☺️ You can, however, add a few drops to a Wool Dryer Ball designed for use in the dryer if you want to add several drops. This is not necessary though, as our Laundry perfumes easily withstand tumble drying. 🔝☺️

No. Laundry washed with Giovani^® Laundry perfume will also retain its fragrance when air-dried. With some fabrics, the scent may develop gradually and last longer.

For children, we recommend caution. Children under 3 years of age should generally not use perfumed products. For older children, choose gentler fragrances and a lower dosage. These are, of course, mandatory general recommendations. The choice to use fragrances for young children is individual. We have many customers who regularly wash children’s clothing with Laundry perfumes without any problems at all.

Yes. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are also suitable for sportswear and functional clothing.

Unlike traditional fabric softeners, which may not be recommended for certain materials, Laundry perfumes are primarily designed to fragrance laundry and are used in a small dosage.

They are also suitable, for example, for:

• functional sportswear
• towels
• tea towels
• or underwear.

When washing, we always recommend following the instructions of the specific textile manufacturer.

Yes, unless the textile specifically states that it is not suitable for washing with fabric softeners or perfumes. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes do not damage fabrics. They are suitable for practically all types of fabric, including silk, cashmere and sportswear.

Yes. Laundry perfume is also suitable for towels and bath towels. Coarser and absorbent fabrics in particular can hold the fragrance very well.

Yes. Bed linen, bedding, blankets, curtains and other home textiles are suitable for use with Laundry perfumes. On coarser fabrics, the fragrance is often more intense and longer-lasting.

Yes, Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are also suitable for delicate fabrics such as silk or cashmere, unless the label of the specific textile states otherwise. For expensive and very delicate materials, we recommend using a lower dosage and a gentle washing programme.

No, when applied correctly into the fabric softener compartment, stains should not appear on laundry. Stains may occur if the product is applied incorrectly, for example by pouring the concentrate directly onto clothing or into the drum. If a stain appears, it should disappear after rewashing. Stains are practically ruled out. It is also logically unrealistic that a tiny 5 ml of Laundry perfume, compared with around 40 ml when using fabric softener, poured into the correct fabric softener compartment of the washing machine and then washed over a long cycle with up to 4 kg of laundry in a huge amount of water, up to 40 litres, could cause even a small stain on that laundry in any way. This is truly unrealistic when used correctly and when the washing machine is cleaned regularly, as required by every washing machine manufacturer.

When dosed correctly, they do not change the colour of laundry. The fragrances bind to textile fibres and, according to the brand’s information, thanks to the content of certain ingredients, they also help care for the colour of laundry.

The fragrance of Giovani^® Laundry perfumes is long-lasting and remains on laundry for several days to weeks, even when stored in a wardrobe.

The longevity of the fragrance may depend on:

• the type of fabric
• the drying method
• the dosage used
• or how the laundry is stored.

On coarser and more absorbent materials, such as towels, blankets or bed linen, the fragrance is usually more intense and lasts longer.

The most common cause is usually a dirty fabric softener compartment. If you previously used traditional fabric softener or other Laundry perfumes, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the compartment, including internal deposits and liquid residues.

If you have previously used traditional fabric softener or other Laundry perfumes, we recommend cleaning the fabric softener compartment and removing residual liquids so that the Laundry perfume can work as effectively as possible.

Laundry perfumes and their pleasant fragrance are usually not the cause of headaches. However, it is possible that their strong intensity caused discomfort, similar to using an overly intense body perfume. Reducing the dosage should resolve this issue immediately.

From our many years of experience, we have not recorded such cases, even though our products are used daily by thousands of customers, including people who are more sensitive to fragrances.

It is important to realise that headaches can be influenced by many factors. We would not look for the cause where it is not, and practically cannot be. Try considering these factors, as there are truly many of them: blood pressure, too little water / too much water, stress, anxiety, nervousness, embarrassment, anger, crying, fatigue, lack of sleep, dehydration, hunger, hypoglycaemia, alcohol, caffeine, withdrawal, nicotine, smoking, hangover, migraine, hormones, menstruation, ovulation, menopause, pregnancy, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, fever, flu, covid, sinusitis, allergies, cold, inflammation, infection, constipation, reflux, overeating, fasting, thirst, sugar, chocolate, cheese, glutamate, histamine, noise, light, flashing lights, screens, blue light, sun, heat, cold, stuffiness, pressure changes, storms, wind, altitude, poor posture, cervical spine, muscle tension, teeth grinding, jaw, eye strain, glasses, dioptres, medication, hormones, magnesium deficiency, iron deficiency, lack of sleep, oversleeping, jet lag, overwork, burnout, sunstroke, concussion, intense physical exertion, coughing, sneezing, holding your breath, strong emotions, panic, depression, loneliness, nervous system overload…

If the fragrance feels too intense, we recommend using a smaller dosage, because Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are highly concentrated.

Our brand is a registered trademark, and such “mistakes” are not possible here. Of course, we have CERTIFICATES and DOCUMENTATION confirming that the bottles contain THE SAME LIQUID AS THE SAMPLES, and we can assure you of that. We follow GOOD MANUFACTURING standards in production. The same liquid is used in both bottles and samples because they are filled with the same liquid, not with anything different. It would not even make economic sense to have different liquids for the 21 fragrances we currently have in our portfolio, as that would eliminate so-called “economies of scale”, which would be a very unreasonable step… In addition, we would be voluntarily damaging our reputation, which also has no logical basis.

We recommend considering other factors instead, as there are many. These are factors that can influence the perception, or intensity, of the fragrance. For example, the weight of the laundry, different clothing materials, the washing programme and more. It is also scientifically proven that the human brain gets used to a fragrance and may later perceive it differently. This tends to apply more to long-term use of traditional perfumes or Laundry perfumes. A person’s sense of smell also differs and changes over time, whether during different seasons or, for example, during a cold, which may alter fragrance perception.

In any case, fragrance perception is subjective.

We therefore recommend washing the same types of fabrics on the same washing programme with both a sample and a bottle, and we guarantee that the fragrance will be exactly the same. You can find different types of Laundry perfumes on the market. The most common include oil-based and water-based Laundry perfumes.

Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are based exclusively on an oil base. This form allows the fragrance components to adhere very well to textile fibres, contributing to an intense and long-lasting fragrance on laundry.

However, fragrance longevity and intensity do not depend only on the product base itself, but also on the quality of the fragrance ingredients used, the perfume composition and correct dosage.

That is why we place great emphasis on selecting high-quality fragrance ingredients, so that the final scent is as intense and long-lasting as possible.

Our Laundry perfumes were developed to offer this added bonus as well and to soften your laundry to a certain extent. However, Laundry perfumes are not primarily intended for this purpose. Laundry softness also depends on other factors, such as water hardness or the temperature you wash at. If you have very hard water or would like to complement your Giovani^® product range with a laundry softener, we recommend purchasing our Giovani^® Laundry gels together with your Laundry perfume, as they contain a water-softening ingredient – a sequestrant. This product replaces traditional washing powder or Laundry gels / capsules and even supports the fragrance of Laundry perfumes.

Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are the highest-quality products on the market, developed by a team of world-class perfume specialists. They meet all strict European Union standards, are safe and have completed all required legal registrations. Their composition is highly gentle on your skin and also on your washing machine. Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are vegan and do not contain dioxane, SVHC, parabens, PBT/vPvB substances, heavy metals, contaminating residues, surfactants, nanomaterials or microplastics. They are vegan and have not been tested on animals. More information about the ingredients is provided directly with the products in the Details section or on the label of each product.

Yes, Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are dermatologically tested.

It is important to mention that these are not cosmetic products, so they are not required to be dermatologically tested. Even so, we had them dermatologically tested.

Why is the product not defined as cosmetic by the relevant EU authorities and legislative bodies? Because it has nothing to do with the skin. This alone should make it sufficiently clear that any skin reactions are practically impossible. How does such a dermatological test work? The liquid is poured directly onto a person’s skin and left to act. This is, of course, completely outside the real-life use of such a product. Even so, these dermatological tests were successful for our products. With no skin irritation at all, not only no allergies, but also no irritation whatsoever.

Considering how the product is used, it should also be fairly clear that it has almost nothing to do with the skin: a tiny 5 ml poured into the fabric softener compartment is then washed over a longer period in a much larger amount of water, around 40 litres, not simply in water, but together with around 4 kg of laundry. The laundry then dries. Sometimes, after washing, it is even stored in a wardrobe for a longer time. With Laundry perfumes, you therefore do not need to worry.

Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are intended for laundry and, when dosed correctly, are also safe when they come into contact with the skin. Compared with regular body perfume, an incomparably smaller amount of fragrance substances comes into contact with the skin. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend starting with a lower dosage and monitoring your individual reaction.

Laundry perfumes have practically almost nothing to do with the skin, which is precisely why the relevant authoritative bodies do not define them as cosmetic products. For this reason, dermatological tests are not mandatory for them. Nevertheless, we decided to have them carried out in order to verify the safety of our products beyond legislative requirements.

How does such testing work? The product is applied directly to the skin of a larger number of test subjects and left to act. This is a situation that is very far from the real use of a product intended for the fabric softener compartment. The result? Our Laundry perfumes passed with excellent results. The tests showed no skin irritation.

You can therefore view these results as significant confirmation of safety. If no irritation was shown even during such direct and significantly more intense contact with the skin, then with normal use of the product intended for the washing machine, the test results indicate no risk of skin irritation.

We would like to reassure you that if you have not previously had an allergic reaction to regular body perfumes, it is almost impossible for you to have an allergy to Laundry perfumes. These products have a very similar perfume composition to classic body perfumes, while their concentration and method of use are different, as they are applied to the fabric softener compartment and not directly to the skin.

Laundry perfumes have practically nothing to do with the skin, which is precisely why the relevant EU authoritative and legislative bodies do not define them as cosmetic products. For this reason, dermatological tests are not mandatory for them. Nevertheless, we decided to have them carried out in order to verify the safety of our products beyond legislative requirements. Dermatological testing is always carried out in accordance with applicable EU legislation and safety standards.

In individual and extremely rare cases, sensitivity to a specific ingredient may be possible, but this is a very unlikely situation, especially if there have been no previous allergic reactions to perfumed products.

Yes, Giovani^® Laundry perfumes are suitable also for people with sensitive skin.

Laundry perfumes are intended for laundry and, when dosed correctly, are also safe for people with sensitive skin. It is important to emphasise that these are not cosmetic products intended for application to the skin. Quite the opposite – they are products intended for the fabric softener compartment, which are heavily diluted during the washing process in a large amount of water and come into contact with laundry, not directly with human skin.

From a legislative point of view, Laundry perfumes are therefore not defined as cosmetic products. EU authoritative and legislative bodies do not consider them cosmetics precisely because they are not intended to come into contact with the skin. For this reason, dermatological tests are not mandatory for them either.

Nevertheless, we decided to go beyond legal requirements and had our Laundry perfumes dermatologically tested. How does such testing work? The product is applied directly to the skin of test subjects and left to act. This is a method of use that is very far from real-life practice. In reality, only approximately 5 ml of product is used during washing, mixed with approximately 40 litres of water and several kilograms of laundry. After the washing cycle has finished, the laundry dries and is often stored in a wardrobe for some time before being worn.

The dermatological test results for our Laundry perfumes were excellent. No allergic reactions or skin irritation were shown. In other words, not even a basic form of irritation was recorded, even though during testing the product was applied to the skin in a way that is significantly more intense than its actual household use.

We consider these results to be very strong confirmation of the safety of our products. If no irritation was shown even during direct contact of the product with the skin during dermatological tests, then with normal use according to the instructions, any skin reactions are extremely unlikely.

However, for very sensitive skin, as with any other perfumed product, we recommend starting with a lower dosage, choosing a gentler fragrance and testing the product first, for example on towels or bed linen. If any unwanted reaction occurs, we recommend that you stop using the product.

No, our products do not contain microplastics, and neither do the individual raw materials used in our Laundry perfumes. However, it is important to realise that microplastics are now found in minimal amounts almost everywhere, including tap water and bottled water that is hermetically sealed. In no case are our products manufactured in a way that these microplastics are added to them. So the answer is: no.

In accordance with current European Union legislation, product testing on animals has been banned for many years. For this reason, we do not consider it necessary to emphasise this fact separately on our products. Not testing on animals is a legal obligation that applies equally to all manufacturers in the EU.

Our products were tested exclusively on ourselves – on people, for whom they are of course intended. All products are the result of our own production and were not tested on animals.

Laundry perfumes and other household products belong among chemical products, just like washing-up liquids, Laundry gels, capsules or fabric softeners. The word “chemicals” often causes unnecessary concern, even though chemical substances are a natural part of everyday life. They are found everywhere around us and even in our own bodies. For example, vitamin C is, from a chemical point of view, a substance called ascorbic acid.

Giovani^® products meet all applicable European standards and legislative requirements for being placed on the market. When used in accordance with the instructions and recommended dosage, they do not pose a health risk to people or animals. It is, of course, essential to use the product in the way it is intended, meaning in the recommended amount and in the appropriate fabric softener compartment.

Our products are not tested on animals and are manufactured in accordance with applicable European legislation. Before being placed on the market, all ingredients used must meet strict safety requirements and regulatory criteria.

However, it is important to realise that Laundry perfumes are created with the aim of giving laundry an intense and long-lasting fragrance. If you are looking for fragrance-free products or products focused exclusively on an organic or natural philosophy without fragrance ingredients, we recommend choosing specialised organic products. On the other hand, an intense and long-lasting fragrance is exactly the feature customers expect from Laundry perfumes and the reason they choose them.

Although our products are not organic and do not have an exclusively natural composition, you will not find such a product among Laundry perfumes anyway. They do not exist. Nowhere in the world does an organic Laundry perfume exist. Our Laundry perfumes are very gentle in the sense that for one dose you use only an extremely small amount of 5 ml, while with fabric softener you commonly use around ten times more. All information about the ingredients is provided in the DETAILS tab for each Laundry perfume on the website. And yes, they are free from heavy metals, etc.; everything is stated there. Of course, they are made with natural fragrance oils, and every fragrance oil comes from nature.

Hypoallergenic perfumes do not exist. No perfume or Laundry perfume in the world is hypoallergenic. ☺️

If a perfume were truly “hypoallergenic” in the absolute sense of the word, it would have to be made without any fragrance substances, allergens or potentially irritating ingredients. In practice, this would mean it is:

•  free from perfume compositions
•  free from essential oils
•  free from aromatic molecules
•  free from both natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients

The result? Such a product would not smell at all. 👎 It would only be a neutral base without any fragrance.

If someone tells you they have a hypoallergenic perfume, they are lying to you… ☝️

In any case, you do not need to worry about any allergy; you would have to be an extremely exceptional case.

At the same time, our Laundry perfumes also have dermatological tests. It is important to mention that these are not cosmetic products, so they are not required to be dermatologically tested. Even so, we had them dermatologically tested.

Why is the product not defined as cosmetic by the relevant EU authorities and legislative bodies? Because it has nothing to do with the skin. This alone should make it sufficiently clear that any skin reactions are practically impossible. How does such a dermatological test work? The liquid is poured directly onto a person’s skin and left to act. This is, of course, completely outside the real-life use of such a product. Even so, these dermatological tests were successful for our products. With no skin irritation at all, not only no allergies, but also no irritation whatsoever.

Considering how the product is used, it should also be fairly clear that it has almost nothing to do with the skin: a tiny 5 ml poured into the fabric softener compartment is then washed over a longer period in a much larger amount of water, around 40 litres, not simply in water, but together with around 4 kg of laundry. The laundry then dries. Sometimes, after washing, it is even stored in a wardrobe for a longer time. With Laundry perfumes, you therefore do not need to worry.

Giovani^® Laundry perfumes can also be used, for example, when washing floors. Add one cap of concentrate to the water and your home will smell intensely fragrant for a long time.

Giovani^® Washing oils can also be used in your aroma diffusers. Simply add a few drops to the water in the diffuser and your home will smell beautiful. Do not use undiluted concentrate for this purpose without adding water.

Yes. You can also use Giovani^® Wool Dryer Balls if you do not have a dryer at home.

Pull out the fabric softener drawer and pour away any residual liquid, which you cannot see unless you remove the drawer, from other Washing oils or fabric softeners, because the dosage of the highly concentrated perfume is only 5 ml and it is recommended not to mix it with any other liquid.

Using our products in combination with other specific products has not been tested separately, so we cannot clearly confirm what effect such a combination may have on the final washing result or the functionality of the individual products.

In general, however, we do not expect that combining them with commonly available Washing agents would cause problems.

This information is stated on the product label on the neck of the bottle, on the product image, where it says they are intended to be combined with Laundry perfumes and therefore must not have a strong scent, in the product description, and so on.

The role of Laundry gel is not to fragrance clothes, but to remove dirt. Unscrew the diffuser cap and remove the plastic stopper. Then screw the cap back on.

2. Insert the reeds

Place the included fragrance reeds into the bottle. They will begin to absorb the perfume essence and naturally release the fragrance into the room.

3. Adjust the fragrance intensity

You can regulate the intensity of the fragrance by the number of reeds used:

• more reeds = a more intense fragrance
• fewer reeds = a gentler fragrance.

For even and stable fragrance release, we recommend turning the reeds occasionally.

Recommended conditions for ideal performance

For the best effect, we recommend:

• air humidity: 40–60%
• room temperature: 20–22 °C.

Hang the tag, for example:

If you want the fragrance to last longer or if it seems too intense, we recommend:

• opening only the top part of the packaging
• or gradually sliding the tag out.

By gradually exposing the tag, the fragrance is released more slowly, lasts longer and is less intense.

You can place the tag in a wardrobe or closet, but we recommend hanging it on a hanger. To allow the tag to beautifully fragrance the space, it is infused with fragrance substances, so direct contact with clothing is not recommended.
