Inspired by French minimalism

The scent of Mystic Man is inspired by the men’s perfume Terre d'Hermes. An irresistible combination of spicy notes with woody depth and fresh citrus is the work of French perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, who believes that the core of masculine strength lies in deep connection with nature and its elements.

The history of men’s perfumes

Perfumes have a long history. As early as ancient times, they were used not only by women, but also by men. Scents served mainly religious, ritual and hygienic purposes. These included essences like incense, myrrh, rose, sandalwood or citrus fruits. During the Renaissance, men’s perfumes were dominated by spicy and musky essences, which provided fragrance while masking unwanted odors.

Perfumers began focusing on compositions specifically created for men at the beginning of the 20th century. Emphasis was placed on spicy, woody and leathery tones.

Today, men’s perfumes are part of a wide and diverse market, offering fragrances for different styles and personalities. Typical masculine scents include earthy, woody, spicy and musky notes that express strength, masculinity and sophistication. Among the most common ingredients are vetiver, cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, patchouli, black pepper and citrus. Recently, lighter floral and sweet notes have also gained popularity, bringing a modern and expressive character to men’s fragrances.
